Mark your calendars: Mother’s Day is May 11. If you’re looking to truly treat your mom, grab a reservation for a special Mother’s Day brunch or dinner at one of these Lower Manhattan spots. From iconic steakhouses to seafood spots with gorgeous waterfront views, here are the places to make your Mother’s Day extra-special.
The Capital Grille
Take your mom to the steakhouse for Mother’s Day. The Capital Grille (120 Broadway), which is usually closed on Sundays, is offering a two-course prix fixe Mother’s Day brunch menu. You and Mom can nosh on items like a blueberry bread basket, cold-smoked salmon and avocado toast, lobster frittata and of course, filet mignon. The restaurant is also offering brunch cocktails and champagne, along with a special children’s menu with items like French toast and mac ‘n’ cheese. Mezze on the River
Mezze on the River (375 South End Ave.) is offering both Mother’s Day brunch and Mother’s Day dinner menus. The three-course brunch includes options like crispy crab croquettes, lobster eggs benedict and avo-caviar toast. For dinner, the four-course menu includes items like pearl oysters, grilled ribeye steak and roasted branzino. Both brunch and dinner options end with a chef’s selection of desserts. Temple Court and the Bar Room at the Beekman
For a Mother’s Day brunch with an unforgettable atmosphere, take your mom to the Bar Room at the Beekman (123 Nassau St.). Your crew can enjoy burrata, brioche French toast, braised lamb shoulder and blueberry cheesecake semifreddo — all while taking in the sumptuous Old New York surroundings. Eataly Downtown
Eataly’s downtown location (101 Liberty St.) has plenty to offer in the way of Mother’s Day dining and activity options. First up, there’s the hands-on Mother’s Day Bomboloni class at 2:30 p.m., where you and your mom can make the classic Italian custard-filled donuts. The ticket also includes an antipasto, glass of prosecco, and a floral bouquet for all moms. Or you can opt for the Mother’s Day Pasta Dinner class, where you and your mom can make a delicious pasta with lobster sauce from scratch. Attendees will enjoy an antipasto, prosecco, a wine pairing and a special dessert. Harry’s
For an elevated Mother’s Day brunch or dinner, take your mom to Harry’s (1 Hanover Sq.). The brunch specials include lobster niçoise salad and strawberry shortcake; dinner specials include grilled peach and burrata salad and roasted halibut. If sushi is your mom’s favorite meal, grab a reservation at Nobu’s downtown location (195 Broadway). The Nobu Mother’s Day brunch menu includes creative options like salmon karashi su miso, a selection of sushi, umami chicken katsu sando and strawberry lychee sorbet. Delmonico’s
The iconic steakhouse is offering a special three-course Mother’s Day brunch. At Delmonico’s (56 Beaver St.), you and your mom can enjoy yellowtail crudo, Delmonico’s royal eggs benedict, risotto, French toast and blueberry pie, among many other options. Spoil Mom with a Mother’s Day brunch at La Marchande (88 Wall St.). The French spot located in the Wall Street Hotel is offering a Mother’s Day brunch menu with indulgent options like a chévre omelette, Belgian waffles, and eggs benedict. To really make it an occasion to remember, add on the Grand Mimosa Service, which involves a tableside presentation of a bottle of René Briand Blanc de Blancs with three signature juices, a selection of farmer’s market fruits and garnishes for the table. You can expect sweeping waterfront views and fresh, flavorful seafood at the Fulton (89 South St.) this Mother’s Day. Brooklyn Chop House (150 Nassau St.) is offering a special Mother’s Day menu. Details on the menu’s offerings aren’t published, but items like steak, noodles, satays, crab legs and dumplings are likely to be available. Warren Street Bar and Restaurant
The Floral Afternoon Tea at Warren Street Bar and Restaurant will make any mom happy. Bites like the Forget-Me-Not shortbread, cucumber sandwiches, honeysuckle sponge cake, scones with clotted cream and fruit preserves will be part of your memorable afternoon at this maximalist hotel restaurant.
