Video: The Neymarc Brothers Head to Kim’s Video to Rep Their Favorite Films

Remy and Andrew Neymarc, known professionally as the Neymarc Brothers, are our first Filmmakers in Chief, and they’re gearing up to make their short film, “Dreamscape,” in the neighborhood this fall. To showcase their film buff prowess, we took them to Alamo Drafthouse at 28 Liberty St., now home to Kim’s Video’s massive video collection.

Kim’s, an independent rental store that operated from 1986 through 2014 in a few locations across Manhattan before finding a second life at Alamo Drafthouse, is famous for its diverse, esoteric and expansive collection, and counts the likes of director Todd Phillips and musician Andrew W.K. among its past employees. The Neymarcs sifted through the good stuff to find some of their favorite movies to watch together; see their picks below, and be sure to check out Kim’s next time you’re catching a film.
