Attention, Design Fans: The Hippest Party in NYC Is in Lower Manhattan This Month

Next week is NYCxDesign Festival, an eight-day celebration and showcase of some of the most innovative artisans and manufacturers in the design and architecture worlds. Events will be ongoing across the city from May 16 to May 23, but the opening is right here in Lower Manhattan — and at one of the neighborhood’s coolest spots, to boot.

Kick off NYCxDesign week on May 16 at Mercer Labs, which has teamed up with the festival to throw an opening party for all five senses. Rub shoulders with designers and fellow design enthusiasts while walking through Mercer’s expansive, immersive exhibition spaces, now hosting artist and Rihanna album-designer Roy Nachum’s super-trippy work.
