Learn Lower Manhattan’s Plans to Combat Climate Change at This Virtual Open House

The NYC Mayor’s Office of Climate Resiliency invites you to attend one of next week’s virtual open houses on the Financial District and Seaport Climate Resilience Master Plan. If you’d like to share your thoughts on how the neighborhood might be able to combat the climate crisis, there will be opportunities to discuss. More from the Office of Climate Resiliency:

We will explore why the area’s low-lying topography, dense infrastructure and complex waterfront and maritime uses make it particularly challenging to protect and adapt. Through ongoing discussions around project constraints and opportunities, we will work together to build a plan that provides flood protection infrastructure and responds to the community’s inputs and needs.

Language-translation services will be made available at the two open houses, scheduled Monday, June 28, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Wednesday, June 30, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. For more information visit the FiDi and Seaport Climate Resiliency Plan’s website.
