More good news for foodies and fans of heights! One40 Rooftop, perched on the 20th floor of Club Quarters Hotel, first takes your breath away with its stunning enclosed panoramic views, then with its fresh and inventive menu. And in a city where increasingly fewer places are open early for a sit down breakfast, it is a feather in their cap that you can enjoy all three daily meals at this woman-owned restaurant.
Led by owner Mona Panjwani, One40 Rooftop recently rolled out its refreshed spring menu from executive chef Sebastian Chaoui, where fresh seafood features heavily. Highlights include grilled colossal prawns (yes, they’re as big as the name suggests), seared sea scallops and a roasted beet salad, just to name a few. Enjoying a fresh catch while taking in the expansive Lower Manhattan views looking out towards the Hudson — including one of the best vantage points of the Verrazano Bridge in the neighborhood? Now, that’s living!
One40 Rooftop also boasts its own recently-opened, gorgeous outdoor bar called Golden Hour at One40 Rooftop. Here you can sip on a curated lineup of handcrafted cocktails and a globally-inspired wine list designed to complement the hot spot’s seasonal menu. While Lower Manhattan features a number of rooftop bars, this one definitely deserves a spot on your list to stop by after work. With a name like Golden Hour, you know you’re in for a treat before sunset.
Breakfast service at One40 Rooftop begins at 7:30 a.m., and most evenings Golden Hour at One40 Rooftop stays open until 10:30 p.m., so you have an excuse to keep your head in the clouds all day long.
