You’ll Find the Best Wursts and Beers at Stone Street Oktoberfest

If you’re parlaying “Brat” summer into bratwurst October, you won’t want to miss Stone Street Oktoberfest, running from September 21 to October 26. Stone Street (the oldest, and also one of the most festive streets) is known to have the largest Oktoberfest celebration in Lower Manhattan, and this year’s event once again has everything you’re looking for: German beer, stein-holding contests, live music, games and, yes, lots of lederhosen.

During the free street festival, all of your favorite Stone Street establishments will be selling food outside, so expect all the traditional German fare like pretzels and bratwurst in addition to Mexican, Cuban and American options.

You can stop by the game lounge tent (set up outside Ulysses’ and Route 66 on alternating weekends) to play basketball, Ping-Pong, giant Jenga, corn hole and more games with fellow beer enthusiasts while bands play traditional polka tunes or classic covers — a DJ will also soundtrack certain weekends.

The festivities will take place from noon to 11 p.m. on six consecutive Saturdays in September and October, coinciding with the original Oktoberfest schedule in München, Germany. Kids and dogs are also welcome to join in the fun, though you must be 21 (in human years) to purchase and consume alcohol. Prost!
