Students, Take Advantage Of These Discounts At Five Lower Manhattan Museums
Back-to-school season is here, even if some students aren’t physically returning to campus. But with learning in the air and a chill in the temps, it’s a nice time to check out the museums in Lower Manhattan, many of which have been reopening over the past few weeks. Students can gain entry to lots of museums across the city for free and cheap right now, and museums in the neighborhood are no exception.
Most of these require reserving space in advance to prevent overcrowding, and of course you should wear a mask and practice all the other social-distancing things we’re so good at now.
9/11 Museum & Memorial
Visiting the outdoor memorial is always free; the museum itself offers youth and student discounts starting for $20. Get tickets here.
9/11 Tribute Museum
The museum, which offers first-hand histories of 9/11 from families and those affected by the tragedy, offers tickets to students for $10.
The Museum of Jewish Heritage
South Street Seaport Museum
Fraunces Tavern Museum
The historic museum and tavern with loads of Revolutionary War-era artifacts recently reopened; students can get in for just $4. Reserve a time here.Tags: 9/11 memorial and museum, 9/11 Tribute Museum, Fraunces Tavern Museum, Museum of Jewish Heritage, My LM, South Street Seaport Museum
