Tickets Now on Sale for the Immersive “Gustav Klimt, Gold in Motion”

With the opening of Hall des Lumiéres at 49 Chambers Street comes the unveiling of the new exhibit Gustav Klimt: Gold in Motion. The digital installation promises a sumptuous display of the Austrian painter’s works throughout the building interiors, including a 50-foot projection of his most famous work The Kiss, which uses its bright, swirling colors and human forms that had scandalized the art world during his lifetime.
The Klimt exhibit plays off marble brass and stained glass features within the 28,000-square-foot space (formerly the Emigrant Industrial Savings Bank), using cutting-edge mapping technology and an elegant soundtrack highlighting art you’ve seen before but in a whole new way.
In addition, the Hall des Lumiéres installation marks NYC’s first permanent digital art center from Culturespaces — the pioneer of immersive exhibits such as the critically acclaimed Atelier des Lumières in Paris. For tickets and more information, visit halldeslumiéres.com.
