‘Trash’ at PAC NYC Is Anything But

March 10, 2026

PAC NYC’s newest show will change how you understand theater. “Trash,” which runs through March 28, is written by two Deaf artists — and is performed almost entirely in American Sign Language.

“Trash” is written and performed by Deaf artists James Caverly (“Only Murders in the Building”) and Andrew Morrill (“Dark Disabled Stories”). It centers on Deaf roommates Tim and Jake, who “take a comical and insightful dive into their trash and their perceptions of each other’s lives.” Caverly and Morrill’s script uses ASL, spoken translation, projection and even audience voting to unspool Tim and Jake’s story, allowing theatergoers to experience language in a new way.
Tickets are available now; grab ‘em here while you can!
