You Can Now Enroll in TSA PreCheck at the Oculus

Some good news you can use ahead of the winter travel season: CLEAR, an official TSA PreCheck enrollment provider, has opened an enrollment and renewal location at the Shops at the Oculus right here in Lower Manhattan, making it even easier to access expedited security checks at airports across the country.

TSA PreCheck is a special program run by the Transportation Security Administration that allows prescreened travelers to use dedicated security lines at airports and skip security measures like removing shoes and jackets and taking laptops out of carry-on luggage. The program can save travelers a lot of time, especially at busy New York City hubs like JFK or LaGuardia.

To enroll, you’ll have to undergo a number of screening measures and pay a fee ranging from $77.95 to $85, though once you’re enrolled, you don’t have to renew for five years. CLEAR’s enrollment and renewal services will be in operation at the Shops at the Oculus Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; no appointment necessary.
