‘Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience’ at Skylight on Vesey Has Been Extended Through April
We won’t scold you if you still have not gone to see the exceptional interactive exhibition “Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience,” because, we get it: You have busy lives and a pandemic is stressful, but believe when we say it’s pretty amazing.
Lucky for you, “Van Gogh” will continue through April so you’ve still got a chance to catch the show at the Skylight on Vesey (300 Vesey Street).
The exhibition simulates a sensation of wandering inside of his paintings, and includes a 10-minute virtual reality feature that places you alongside Van Gogh for “A Day in the Life of the Artist” — walking you through the creative inspiration behind paintings like “Bedroom at Arles” and “Starry Night at the Rhone.”
The show is open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and weekends from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; plan to spend at least an hour there. Tickets can be purchased online.
