The “Hidden Gem” Cocktail Bar That Everybody’s Talking About

The bar WarrenPeace gets half its name from its location at 80 Warren St.; it earned the other half as one of the district’s best hidden gems and, yes, peaceful cocktail spots. Of course, the name is also a play on the Tolstoy novel, but unlike the dense Russian historical fiction you Spark Notes-ed in college, you’ll want to take your time soaking up WarrenPeace’s hip and funky vibe, with cocktails and bites to try that may grab your attention more than the namesake novel.

The bar is slightly out of the hustle and bustle of the busier streets, featuring a cozy and welcoming interior boasting a vintage-inspired vibe that has the feel of stepping into an artsy, well lived-in NYC apartment, thanks to a collection of decor that includes antique lamps, big palm frond plants and eclectic rugs. Crucially, WarrenPeace has some delicious cocktails, as well a full dinner menu of Mediterranean-inspired dishes like lamb sliders and duck confit buns. It’s the kind of place that not only feeds and waters you perfectly, but also pays attention to the details. Stop by from 4 p.m. until midnight from Mondays to Thursdays and until 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
