Party Like It’s 1999: Where to Watch the Knicks in the NBA Finals

May 26, 2026

The New York Knicks swept the Cleveland Cavaliers this week in a brutal showing, clinching the Eastern Conference and earning a spot in the NBA Finals for the first time in 27 years. Starting on June 3, the Knicks will face either the San Antonio Spurs or Oklahoma City Thunder, who are currently deadlocked 2-2 in the Western Conference Finals, for a best-of-seven league championship. And if the Knicks outplay the Western Conference winner, they’ll be the NBA champions for the first time since 1973. Suffice it to say, it’s an exciting (albeit nailbiting) time to be a New York sports fan. (Unless you’re a Mets fan, in which case…there’s always next year.)

If you want to get in on the action, there are plenty of sports bars in the neighborhood that are sure to be showing the games. Ulysses (58 Stone St.) is an official NBA playoff bar, so you’re guaranteed to catch the finals there. But if you can’t get a seat, consider one of these spots for your viewing pleasure:

Beckett’s Sports Bar (81 Pearl St.)

Carragher’s (17 John St.)

Clinton Hall (90 Washington St.)

Continental Sports Lounge (85 Beaver St.)

Treadwell Park (301 South End Ave.)

Blue Haven South (121 Fulton St.)

Stout NYC (90 John St.)

Jeremy’s Ale House (228 Front St.)

Brickyard Craft Kitchen (23 Park Pl.)

Sixpoint Brewery (230 Vesey St.)
