Downtown-Lower Manhattan Association Issues Statement on Governor Cuomo’s Storm Mitigation Measures Presented in 2014-2015 Executive Budget
Downtown-Lower Manhattan Association Chairman Robert R. Douglass and Acting President William Bernstein today issued the following statement on New York State Governor Andrew M. Cuomo’s 2014-2015 Executive Budget measures to protect the State from extreme weather:
"On behalf of the Lower Manhattan business community, we would like to thank Governor Cuomo for his commitment to transform and harden infrastructure systems below Chambers Street and across the state. Significant investments in our district’s mass transit network and exposed coastlines are central to the pulse of this region. These far-reaching programs and funding strategies are sure to help Lower Manhattan continue on its path to becoming a more-resilient world-class, 21st century business district.”
Founded in 1958 by David Rockefeller, the Downtown-Lower Manhattan Association is a membership organization of key Downtown stakeholders committed to a vibrant business community below Canal Street.
