LM Live’s 2024 Year in Review
Thank you for joining us for LM Live’s 2024 season! This year saw rededication to in-person programming and a greater focus on building community through art, culture and history. We hosted a new batch of New York on Film screenings, engaged in cultural conversations with experts and gathered together over crafts and activities. We’ll have even more programming for you in the coming months; until then, here’s a recap of LM Live’s third year.
New York on Film
This year’s New York on Film series, which features screenings of films that highlight the history, culture and controversy that have defined the city over the years, brought our community a new and exciting set of films. These sold out screenings, which are followed by talkbacks with experts, raised money for organizations such as the Women’s Film Preservation Fund, the Wildlife Conservation Federation, the Institute for Black Imagination and more.
- “I am Not Your Negro” with Dagmawi Woubshet
- “12 Angry Men” with Josh Dubin and Derrick Hamilton
- “The Gospel According to André” with Kate Novack and Dario Calmese
- “Wolfen” with Michael Gingold and Gavin Smith
- “The Apartment” with Molly Haskell and Imogen Sara Smith
Cultural Conversations
In 2024, we hosted a variety of cultural conversations with topics spanning current events, journalism and history. We hosted these events at several beautiful Lower Manhattan venues, including the Studio @ 7 WTC, Primary and the Down Town Association. You can check out our recaps and recordings below.

Community Activities
This year featured LM Live’s first community activation in partnership with the South Street Seaport Museum. Over 60 Lower Manhattan residents and visitors learned about the history of printmaking at Bowne & Co Stationers and walked away with printed keepsakes of their own. We look forward to hosting more activations with neighborhood partners in the coming months!
