Downtown Alliance Honored By Ringing Closing Bell at NYSE

11/06/2012

On Monday, November 5th, our organization visited the New York Stock Exchange to ring the closing bell.  The NYSE was recognizing us for providing Lower Manhattan businesses and residents with up-to-date and useful information during and after Hurricane Sandy.

Our people watched press conferences, reviewed press releases, and were on the street collecting as much information as possible and then disseminating it through our website, Facebook, Twitter, blog, and our twice-a-day email to all our constituents. Please use this link if you would like to subscribe.

We also developed a special section on our website to provide updates as well as important information on recovery efforts that include: Business & Individual Assistance Resources, Information Resources, and suggestions on how you can help.

Below is the video of our team ringing the bell; Elizabeth Berger, President, Joseph Timpone, SVP Operations, and Daniel Ackerman, Chief of Staff, along with several of our Public Safety officers.
