The city will celebrate the New York Knicks’ NBA championship win on Thursday, June 18, with a ticker-tape parade winding up Broadway starting at 10 a.m. This is the Knicks’ first championship win since 1973, and the first time the team is being honored with a parade, and over one million people are expected to show up for the festivities. It’s an exciting event, and it will also create some interruptions in the neighborhood, with street and subway entrance closures expected.
