Lace Up Your Skates: Brookfield Place’s Ice Skating Rink Is Back for the Holidays

Don’t let the unseasonably summery weather fool you, for the holiday season has one of the city’s best socially-distanced perks: outdoor ice skating.

For a Downtown alternative to the Rockefeller Center and Bryant Park rinks — and one that overlooks the Hudson River, no less — The Rink at Brookfield Place is back open for the season, starting November 21. In addition to its usual skating options (book-in-advance public skating hours for $15; private and semi-private skating lessons ranging from $45 to $120), The Rink is also offering “private pods” for skating and ice hockey lessons, where small groups of three to six children can take classes together.

A limited number of lessons with Olympic skaters are also available for $150, for those of us looking for a little extra help channeling our inner Adam Rippon.

Guests interested in public skating and groups can email [email protected], and for lesson packages, contact [email protected]. Full pricing details and hours can be found on The Rink’s website.
