Crown Shy Readies Indoor Dining Service

Crown Shy (70 Pine Street) has thankfully stayed open during the pandemic, providing takeout and delivery as well as outdoor seating via its 10 sidewalk yurts, a.k.a. “Shy Village.” On Monday, March 1, the Michelin-starred darling reopens for indoor dining service — at 25% capacity. 

The Crown Shy team has implemented Covid-safety accommodations, such as temperature checks, socially-distanced seating (tables are more than six feet apart), as well as hand sanitizer and plastic-wrapped silverware for guests. Servers and chefs are, of course, masked up. 

So if you’re craving Chef James Kent’s three-course prix fixe, featuring starters like Scallop Crudo and Chickpea Tagine, or 40-Day Dry-Aged Rib-Eye with Potato Gruyere Gratin and Kale Caesar served family-style, reservations for March are now open. You can specify whether you’d like to reserve an indoor table or dine in one of the yurts.
