Stretch Your Body and Mind With BeU Yoga at Battery Park City’s Lawns (Now Open!)

Spring is truly here, as Battery Park City’s lawns have reopened for the season!

The acreage will be opening on a rolling basis, with all fences coming down by Friday, according to the Battery Park City Authority. Lawns at the park, and many parks across the city, are fenced off for the off-season—you gotta give the grass a chance to heal and let new greenery grow. But now that the weather is warm, the full park will be open to the public again.

Here’s a great way to take advantage of it, too: Yoga studio beU is holding outdoor, Covid-safe, nature-focused yoga classes on the lawns this summer. Classes begin April 20, find the schedule and register for classes here

“The outdoor space will provide people with a chance to get out into nature, experience the dawn chorus in the morning, and connect with like-minded people,” the studio said.
