Artesano Brings Some South American Flavor to Chambers Street

Back in October, a taste of South America parachuted into downtown with the opening of the Peruvian dining room Artesano. At 90 Chambers Street, chef Rodrigo Fernandini transplanted his famed Andean dishes up from St. Petersburg, Florida, where his restaurant Ayllu continues its success as a local sensation. Meanwhile, on Chambers, you’ll find a wealth of Peruvian delights, including ceviche, grilled octopus and pisco.

For those who haven’t yet made reservations and enjoyed Fernandini’s cooking, just spend two minutes peeping his skills on the ol’ gram.

That ought to give you a sense of what sort of deliciousness to expect. Also, the space only holds 45 seats, which is promising for those who want an intimate experience. Add to that the tasting menus, cocktails and impressive plating and presentation, you’ll probably want to make this a frequent visit.
