Don’t You Want to Do Some SHREDDING at This Weekend’s Shred-a-Thon?

It’s shredding season here at the Alliance, and we’re imploring you to bring your shreddable junk, old clothes and unwanted documents to an event that’ll even leave Slash in the dust. Head to Fulton Street (between Ryders Alley and Cliff Street) on Saturday, October 14, where a mobile shredding truck will securely destroy and recycle all your sensitive documents, tax receipts, junk mail and old bills (staples and paperclips are okay). Shredding hours are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m, or until the truck is full. Please limit to 10 bags/boxes per person.

You can bring freshly-laundered clothing, accessories and textiles for recycling. Accepted items include clothing, shoes, belts, handbags, hats, as well as household linens (curtains, sheets, towels), courtesy of Wearable Collections. Please leave carpeting, rugs, bath mats, comforters, pillows, large luggage, fabric or scraps of any kind, including pre-recycled insulation materials, at home. You can double-check what is accepted here
