PSA: It’s Time to Vote in the 2023 Election

Election Day is Tuesday, November 7, and while it’s not exactly a sexy election year, there are still a few races happening across the five boroughs. Thanks to the expansion of voting laws in 2019, voting is already open statewide; you can cast your vote at your early voting site through November 5.

You won’t find any presidential, governor or mayoral races on the ballot, but there are elections for all 51 New York City Council seats, including in Lower Manhattan. (Note that some races are uncontested.)  For those registered in districts elsewhere, there are also races for district attorneys, civil court judges and delegates to the judicial convention, as well as two statewide ballot proposals. To find your early voting or Election Day poll site, check findmypollsite.vote.nyc. (Your early voting site and Election Day site are likely in different locations.) You can learn more about the candidates in your district at nycvotes.org.

Lastly, hours for early polling sites are different at each location.
