Join Sibling Rivalry Press founding publisher Bryan Borland, editor-in-chief Seth Pennington, and a spectrum of SRP-published writers from a decade of defiance that changed the face of American poetry. SRP, was, from the start, a family affair, and its readers and audiences have always been a big part of that family. That’s why, for their first event in four years, SRP is gathering at Poets House for readings and a family reunion, and you’re invited. Their tagline, “Disturb and Enrapture,” is especially apt now. Queer writers and their allies have been deeply involved in every struggle for social justice. As they gather for this look back, they’ll also look to the future and a world where art can pave the way for liberation and healing for all people worldwide, from the US to Palestine to Sudan to Ukraine, and beyond. Join SRP in this spirit of solidarity, community, renewal, and yes, poetry, queer joy, and how chosen family can build bridges, save lives, and change the world.
