A Day To Remember

09/08/2014

On the upcoming 13th anniversary of September 11, take a day to remember all those we lost and all that this day means.

This year, the 9/11 Memorial Plaza will be open to the public beginning at 6 P.M. the evening of September 11 for a special vantage point viewing of Tribute in Light.  It will illuminate the Lower Manhattan skyline just south of the Memorial site until midnight for the anniversary.  To learn more, click here.

In addition, a special musical tribute will take place on the evening of September 12.  Beginning at 6 P.M. and lasting until 8 P.M., there will be performances by bagpipers from the NYPD, PAPD and FDNY, faculty from Tone Academy of Music, singer Janine Strange and the Peace of Heart Choir.  All will perform in recognition of the commemoration for those who were killed in the attacks.  For more details, click here.

However you choose to honor this special anniversary, we hope you will join the Lower Manhattan community as it takes a day to remember.
