One of the Infatuation’s Best Bagels in NYC Is Right Here in Lower Manhattan
As some of Lower Manhattan’s most dedicated bagel eaters, we have a lot of thoughts about which downtown bagels are the best (all of them). And at least one of those bagel shops has made a definitive list: The Infatuation says Leo’s Bagels (3 Hanover Sq.) makes one of the top bagels in the city, joining local standouts like Absolute Bagels on the Upper West Side and Utopia Bagels in Queens.
The Infatuation had high praise for Leo’s’ untoasted plain bagel: “It’s one of the puffier bagels out there, and it has a pleasantly gooey chew, while the bottom remains partially crispy.” They were also a fan of Leo’s’ scallion cream cheese, which came in second place in our definitive ranking of all of Leo’s’ schmears last year.
Stop by Leo’s to experience the goodness yourself; and consider trying one of these three unlikely bagel sandwiches for a taste of something a little different.
