Complete Playground Offers Downtown Kids a *Completely* Fun Experience
Last we checked in with Complete Playground, a non-profit inclusive family center that aims to combine play, education and skill building for children across the learning and neurodevelopment spectrums, founder Alex Reznik was hard at work getting the 45,000-square-foot space at 30 Broad St. prepared for fun and games. Now, Complete Playground is open and ready to host you, your child and all their friends, offering everything from a massive indoor playground, to martial arts and gymnastics, to occupational therapy. Plus, it’s a great spot for birthday parties.
The expansive facility is the only nonprofit all-inclusive play area in Manhattan, featuring a multi-level obstacle maze, interactive games, a gymnastics area, a climbing wall, a bouncy house, trampolines and a LEGO room. There is also a sensory room and special programming for children with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities. Making Complete Playground an inclusive play space for all children was a deeply personal project for Reznik, whose son was diagnosed as neurodivergent as a toddler. Reznik struggled to find sensory rooms, sensory gyms, speech therapy and occupational therapy for his child, especially in Lower Manhattan.
“This space is designed to be not just an indoor playground, but also a hub for enrichment and therapeutic programs,” he told the Downtown Alliance last year. “Our ultimate goal is to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where all children, regardless of their unique requirements, can thrive.”
In addition to birthday parties for children (and their accompanying adults), Complete Playground can also host field trips, graduations and other events. For memberships, bookings, donations and more, visit Complete Playground’s website.
