**Italian Chef’s Kiss** — the Legendary Di Fara Pizza Arrives at the Seaport
Make way for another addition to our Lower Manhattan Pizza Matrix: Di Fara Pizza, famed pizzeria that for ages maintained global-destination status at its sole location in deep Brooklyn (RIP, Dom DeMarco), is now firing up the oven at the Seaport.
Di Fara’s newest haunt, stationed under the FDR at 108 South Street, is serving the same classic slices in the neighborhood that kept the lines long and the Food Network cameras rolling at its original Avenue J shop.
The owners and operators of the new spot celebrated its opening last weekend by — how else? — taking to Instagram.
“I can see Dom smiling above,” wrote one commenter of the cherished late owner. Locals will be grinning ear to ear, too, once they get those slices in their hands. The South Street location is open Monday to Thursday from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday to Sunday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.
