An Exciting 2022 for Dine Around Downtown

The Downtown Alliance would like to thank everyone who came out and supported this year’s multiple events produced by our Dine Around Downtown team.
The highly popular Dine Around Downtown: Cooking at Home Edition was launched during the height of the pandemic to support Lower Manhattan restaurants. The virtual series, hosted by Rocco DiSpirito, continues to engage audiences throughout the year with seasonal episodes, as recently as December’s holiday cocktail special featuring Manhatta’s head bartender Cameron Winkelman.

To date the series has engaged 5,000 registrants and benefited 14 unique food-security charities chosen by each participating restaurant. You can binge all 20 episodes on YouTube, while pre-production gets underway for our winter comfort food special in 2023. Stay tuned!

In addition, the month of June saw the triumphant return of the Dine Around Downtown community food festival. After a three-year hiatus, the open-air feast at 28 Liberty’s Fosun Plaza welcomed more than 10,000 guests to sample dozens of local restaurants’ signature dishes. The longstanding downtown tradition will return again in 2023.

To round it all off, our exciting new pop-up food fair Lunch Box debuted in October. The event introduced 10 fresh additions to the neighborhood’s dining scene that opened in the past year — offering thousands of guests a selection of 10 delicious meals at $10 each.
