By: Onike Brown
Looking for a unique weekend date idea? Got family or friends in town who you need to show around town even though you just want to go to the movies?
This summer, Tribeca Film Festival and Westfield World Trade Center have you got you covered with a outdoor movie series near some of New York’s newest landmarks.
From this month through October, Oculus Plaza, at the corner of Church and Dey streets, will be home to the “Tribeca Drive-In: Dinner and Movie” series on Friday and Saturday evenings.
And get ready for more great news. Not only are the screenings free, but food from Eataly and drinks from Beer Table and Pure Liquid Wine & Spirits will be available for purchase. Visitors attending the film series will even have the option to watch the films within a limited seating, reserved access section.
Films start at 7:30 PM. The slate of movies is a mix family-friend fare, old classics, new hits and quintessential New York films.
