Grab Your Art Supplies And Join These Drawing Sessions At South Cove
South Cove is one of Lower Manhattan’s lesser trafficked but most picturesque spots. The park looks out over the Hudson River and is surrounded by lush greenery that’s about to change as fall settles in. It’s a nice spot to do some painting, and you can take advantage of that with free drawing-in-the-park sessions at South Cove, which take place on Saturdays in October and November.
The sessions are BYO-almost-everything: bring your own drawing and painting supplies, drawing boards and containers of water. The Battery Park City Authority, which organizes the events, will provide only drawing paper and watercolor paper.
The self-guided event is limited to 20 people and is first-come, first-served. And like everything these days, it’s social-distance friendly: masks are required, and participants must stay six feet apart.
