Hear That Sizzle? Fogo de Chão Is Now Downtown
We hope you’re hungry! After months of anticipation, beloved Brazilian steakhouse Fogo de Chão finally opened its doors downtown at 40 Cortlandt Way. The restaurant — which sits next to the Oculus, at the base of 3 World Trade Center — is bringing its signature Southern Brazilian flair, flavor and ambience to the neighborhood with a traditional churrasco experience that allows guests to watch chefs grill and carve their protein table-side. Now that’s what we call dinner and a show.
Beyond the full carnivorous experience, the dining hotspot features Bar Fogo, which offers all-day happy hour specials including $10 cocktails, $8 glasses of South American wines and $5 beer. You can also grab smaller plates, like lobster and shrimp tacos, in the bar area. The new location will offer weekday lunch specials starting at just $20 (talk about a power lunch), as well as a weekend brunch option. It’s also worth noting that although Fogo de Chão is known for its never-ending fire-grilled meats, there are also menu offerings for pescatarian or vegan guests. Private and semi-private dining spaces are also available for parties and meetings.
Bemvido!
