The Spring Farm Share at Fulton Stall Market Is Underway

Believe it or not, spring is around the corner. That means that all kinds of fresh produce is headed our way. So do your household a favor and sign up for the CSA farm share at Fulton Stall Market (91 South St.) to get all the apples, strawberries, rhubarb, sprouts, eggs, mushrooms, farmstead cheeses, bread, fresh pasta and charcuterie that’ll keep your fridge and cabinets stocked through June 15. The CSA season lasts for 13 weeks and has a selection of 17 share options.

Fulton Stall explains how the whole thing works:

Choose all your desired share options of fresh local foods directly from farmers and local producers.

Weekly pickup is at Fulton Stall Market, 91 South St., Thursday 4–6 p.m. or Friday 11:30–5 p.m.

Shares will be kept under refrigeration. If not picked up by Saturday at 5 p.m. they will get donated.

Bring your own shopping bag at pick-up.

Fulton Stall also has a compost program during Thursday pick-ups: Their kitchen scrap collection is partnered with EarthMatter NY’s compost center and farm on Governor’s Island — they divert somewhere north of 100 pounds weekly from the waste stream. Of course, if Thursday doesn’t come soon enough for you, you can always participate in the Downtown Alliance’s composting pilot program. We have 10 bins located all throughout the neighborhood.
