Time Travel Back to the 1990s With These Early Dine Around Downtown Festival Pics

The year was 1997. The Spice Girls were at the top of the charts. “Titanic” was about to be released in theaters. “Google.com” was registered as a domain name. Tiny sunglasses were in. And the Downtown Alliance hosted its first Dine Around Downtown community food festival in Lower Manhattan. We didn’t know then that our little food fest was about to become a decades-spanning local phenomenon, but we did know that the downtown restaurant scene was something special.
