Ghouls Just Want To Have Fun In Lower Manhattan

Let out your best witch cackle, sharpen your fangs, or revel in the glory from saving the world this fall season with month-long Halloween fun all over Lower Manhattan. Check out the thrilling fun for children and family this season:

Pumpkin Point & Trick-Or-Treating
Let the fall spirit flow and thrive in a glorious day of joy, fun, and best of all, pumpkin picking! Pick out your own pumpkin, enjoy live music, pumpkin painting, and treats like warm cider, mini pumpkin pies, and a fall beer garden for the adults while basking in the grace of Lady Liberty on Governors Island. Trick-or-treat with your chivalrous knights, troubling goblins, spooky ghosties, and royal princesses all around the historic houses of Nolan Park. Pumpkin picking will take place for two weekends on October 20-21 and October 27-28. Trick-or-treating will be two days only on October 27-28.

Crafternoon
Ghoulish crafters and scary builders ages 3 and older are invited to an afternoon of Halloween creativity and crafts! All materials will be provided at a first come, first serve basis at the Battery Park City Library on October 24.

Stories For All Ages: Not-So-Spooky-Halloween-Tales
Get ready for laughs with not-so-spooky-stories written by elementary school students to be performed by story pirates. Children in the audience will be able to make up the show on the spot. Tales and show performed at Rockefeller Park on October 27. Don’t forget to wear your costume!

Halloween Bash
Dress up your children as their favorite characters for an afternoon of spooky fun at the Brookfield Place Halloween Bash! Enjoy a costume catwalk, trick-or-treating at designated locations, LEGO Photo Ops with a colossal LEGO sculpture, Special movie screenings, and more at Brookfield Place on October 27.

Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF at Westfield WTC
Head to the #ScaryGood Carnival on October 27 in the Oculus at Westfield World Trade Center for a great cause!  Enter the life-size trick-or-treat box, go on a Scavenger Hunt or just enjoy all the fun activities while learning how kids get to help kids with the longest running fundraising campaign.

Dia de los Muertos
Enjoy a free day of crafts and dance the whole family will love in celebration of Dia de los Muertos. Create paper skull masks, paper flowers, paint plaster skulls (calaveras), and decorate skeleton puppets.Traditional dances around the community ofrenda will be performed by Cetiliztli Nauhcampa to honour ancestors at the National Museum of the American Indian on October 27.

Hometown Halloween at Trinity Church
Head to Trinity Wall Street for a graveyard Halloween from 3-5 PM for free hot apple cider and photos. Kids also interact with historical characters from New York City’s past and can enter to win an iPod shuffle and iBoo speakers. Parents can then stay for a viewing of the silent film Phantom of the Opera with live organ accompanimentfrom 7-8:30 PM.

Little Shops of Horrors Viewing
Prepare yourself for a night of chills and thrills with a director’s cut viewing of Little Shops of Horror at the Schimmel Center on October 30. Pre viewing activities begin at 6:30 PM.

Jack-O-Laterns & Trick-or-Treating at the Conrad New York
Snap a selfie in front of the winning Jack-O-Lantern at the Conrad New York‘s staff pumpkin carving contest this Halloween from 4:30-6:30 PM, and make sure to trick or treat your way out the door with some delicious candy. Afterwards, adults can check out the Halloween Happy Hour that features the “I Put A Spell On You” cocktail made of rum, fresh lime, simple syrup and smoked chili bitters.

W Request Live: 90’s Halloween Remix
Relive the denim days, the Britney Spears hits, the top music videos, the Backstreet Boys, and indulge in Pop Rocks at W New York – Downtown by experiencing a W Request Live: Halloween Remix in the W Living Room Bar and Terrace. Saturday, Oct. 27^th 10PM – 2AM.

Big Gay Ice Cream
Show up at the new Big Gay Ice Cream in the Seaport today dressed as their unicorn mascot and you’ll get a free cone or as their narwhal mascot to get a “freebie”.  All costumed visitors can enter to win a $25 gift card. 

Annual Children’s Halloween Parade at South Street Seaport
The annual children’s Halloween Parade will take place again this year on Wednesday, October 31st at 6pm. The children gather at the Haunted Fish Bridge Park and follow a map through the Seaport to trick or treat at participating businesses and residences.
