Go Bald For A Cause On St. Patrick’s Day

By: Jude Pierre-Louise

This St. Patrick’s Day, the little leprechaun is coming with a shaved head. Why? Head on over to Jim Brady’s and see what event sets the bald bar a cut above the rest.

Back in 2002, three friends wanted to do something charitable. One of the men had long, blonde hair, so they proposed that if $17,000 could be raised, he would shave his head. After going above and beyond, they raised $104,000 on the first year alone and made the decision to donate it to a foundation that would further childhood cancer research. It has since expanded into an international event, but it began here at Jim Brady’s. Today, that tradition lives on at Jim Brady’s and is celebrated every St. Patrick’s Day.

So if you want to get a nice haircut all while contributing to a great cause, head on over to Jim Brady’s on St. Patrick’s Day to support a great movement that has raised over $250 million dollars to date.
