Lower Manhattan Has a Ton of Free Outdoor Wi-Fi

As spring continues to thaw out that stubborn previous season, sitting hunched over your laptop inside a cubicle probably feels extra tiring. So if you get the impulse to take in the warming temps and budding flora, grab your machine and head to literally any of the neighborhood’s several outdoor locations for free W-Fi — a service that the Downtown Alliance has been providing for 20 years.
You can access the #DwtwnAllianceFreeWiFi network throughout most of Lower Manhattan’s parks, plazas and other public areas. Here’s everywhere you can connect online — for now, anyway. In the coming months we’re expanding service in Battery Park City and around the World Trade Center, so be sure to check back for updates.
