Thanks to Everyone for Coming to Last Week’s Lunch Box

We’re grateful to all who came out and made last week’s Lunch Box a success — even in the face of uncertain, sometimes admittedly super-damp weather — to grab a quick bite from one of the neighborhood’s newest restaurants.

See if you can spot yourself or any of your co-workers in the pics at 28 Liberty’s Fosun Plaza:

Thursday, October 13, marked the first Lunch Box event hosted by the Downtown Alliance, in which 10 new local restaurants offered $10 boxed lunches for Lower Manhattan residents, workers and visitors to try. Each dish comprised one main dish and two sides — participants included Anassa Taverna, Farida Central Asian Cuisine & Grill, Firenze Ristorante Toscano & Bar, GaGa Chinese Kitchen, K-Pop Haus, Mezcali, Mezze on the River, Que Chevere, Tagmo and Umai Fish.

As part of our ongoing commitment to a sustainable Lower Manhattan, Lunch Box was also a zero-waste event and collected compost and recycling across the plaza.
