Meet a Lower Manhattan Business: Blue Smoke

08/01/2012 in

The smell of BBQ is now wafting through Lower Manhattan. Danny Meyer’s well-known Flatiron hot-spot has made its way to Battery Park City, and the beautifully designed, 100-person dining room is bustling with local workers, residents, and tourists throughout the day.

“There are so many exciting developments going on west of West Street,” says Blue Smoke Managing Partner Mark Maynard-Parisi. “With such a growing and vibrant community down here, we thought this was the right place and the right time to open our second location.”

Open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, this eatery offers many of the original Blue Smoke staples, like the Blue Smoke rib sampler and the crowd-pleasing macaroni and cheese. There are also some new editions on the Lower Manhattan menu, including seasonal salads and chicken gumbo. A series of large photographs commissioned by renowned photographer Frank Stewart lines the dining room as well as the 25-person private dining space.
