Meet a Lower Manhattan Business: J&R Café

Each week, we profile a local business. Today, we’ll introduce you to J&R Café, located inside the electronics store at 1 Park Row.

We all know J&R has been rocking New York since 1971, but it’s also been feeding New York since June.

These days, there are more than just flat-screens, laptops and DVDs in the stock room—there’s actual stock; for chicken orzo soup, that is, and turkeys roasting for fresh sandwiches and homemade savory crepes. (There are dessert crepes too).

At the coffee bar, fresh, imported Danesi is served along side homemade muffins, cookies and biscotti.

Raise that espresso glass. Here’s to another 40 years.
