At This Lower Manhattan Bar With Detroit Pizzas, You’ll Find Joy

The poem “Casey at the Bat” talks about there being no joy in Mudville, but ol’ Casey must have never been to Lower Manhattan — where Mudville 9 has been keeping people happy since 1977.

The bar and restaurant at 126 Chambers Street is an ideal spot to binge the NFL playoffs or to stop by whenever you need an affordable drink and a quick bite. Happy-hour deals go from noon to 6 p.m. and will get you $3 beers, wine and cocktails plus $3 off some food items. The bar is full of cozy wrap-around booths, and the menu features pub favorites plus Detroit-style pizzas.

Find more about Mudville 9 here, and don’t be like Casey and miss your shot. Make sure to swing by when you have the chance.
