Mulchfest Is Still Underway If You Need to Dispose of Your Trees, Wreaths

If you haven’t had the chance to properly dispose of your holiday trimmings, the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation is still running their annual Mulchfest through January 9 at several locations throughout the city. Lower Manhattanites can bring their old trees and wreaths to The Battery (Greenwich Street and Battery Place) during park hours, and the city will get them responsibly recycled.

For other Mulchfest locations around the city, consult the NYC Parks map here, which also has spots listed for multiple chipping sites this weekend from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to work on any trees (free of lights and ornaments) brought their way.

Let your friends, neighbors and area chipmunks know! We’ll see you there.
