10 Parties to Ring in the New Year Downtown

Shimmy your way into 2023 at any one of the blowouts taking place in the neighborhood. From sit-down dinners to casual eats, from all-night parties to scenic night cruises, there’s something for everyone. Check out the list below to see which is the right kind of night for you.

New Year’s Eve in the Clouds at SAGA
70 Pine Street | 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Celebrate the New Year in the spire of 70 Pine Street. Start the night on the 62nd floor, and ascend as the evening progresses. Peer into the future in a life-size crystal ball, dance in a cloud-disco, then close the night at an intergalactic after party.

Nobu Downtown 
195 Broadway | 5 p.m. to 11:15 p.m.

Reservations are currently available for Nobu’s multi-course omakase feast which includes a sashimi tasting and chef’s selection of the finest sushi.

Firenze
101 Liberty Street, 3rd Floor | Reservations begin at 6 p.m.  

Roar in 2023 with a traditional Tuscan dinner at Eataly’s scrumptious Firenze Ristorante Toscano & Bar. The prix-fixe meal includes seven courses as well as panoramic views overlooking the heart of Lower Manhattan. Pair your courses with specialty Tuscan wines to take that celebration up a notch.

Stone Street Tavern
52 Stone Street | 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Party on one of the city’s oldest streets: Tickets range from $70 to $260 at Stone Street Tavern’s New Year’s Eve shindig include a five-hour premium open bar, complementary horse doovers and naturally a champagne toast at the stroke of midnight. A live DJ will be in house spinning the latest pop, hip hop, R&B, electronic music and dance through the early morning.

Temple Court’s Black and White Masquerade Ball
5 Beekman Street | Begins at 7 p.m.

A decadent reimagining of one of New York’s most famous parties includes live music, aerial performances, pop-up dancers and a not-to-be-missed balloon drop and midnight champagne toast.  

Manhatta
28 Liberty Street, 60th floor | 9p-12:30a

Live music, sweeping views and flowing bubbly will keep Manhatta’s sky-high party going. The $395 ticket also gets you an inclusive open bar, a delicious raw bar, canapes, cheese, charcuterie, desserts and, of course, floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the city skyline.

Mad Dog & Beans 
83 Pearl Street | 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.

If a more no-frills atmosphere is your thing, then Mad Dog & Beans is lining up a fiesta that features all the margaritas, beer, wine, sangria, nachos, quesadillas and chips and salsa that your sodium-palpitating heart desires. 

New Year’s Eve on the Hotel Indigo Rooftop 
120 Water Street | 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Hotel Indigo’s Highwater Rooftop features a four-hour open bar and first-rate appetizers. In between rounds take a few peeks at the Statue of Liberty and the New Year’s Eve fireworks across town. Indigo is also throwing a bash at its ground floor restaurant Buttonwood NYC!)

Malibu Farm
Pier 17 | 5 p.m.

Enjoy an intimate New Year’s dinner at Malibu Farm. The New Year’s Eve pre-fixe menu includes house made carrot ricotta gnocchi, grilled whole lobster and peekytoe crab risotto.  

The Fulton
Pier 17 | 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The Fulton’s $298 three-course tasting menu is a seafood lover’s dream. Oysters on the half shell, yellowfin tuna tartare, dover sole Grenobloise, longevity noodles with glazed Maine lobster — there are menu items that haven’t lived in the ocean, like seared Wagyu tenderloin, and then there is the dessert section. They don’t call it the sexiest menu in the city for nothing!
