Photos: “Domino Effect,” Now on View at Fosun Plaza
“Domino Effect,” the Downtown Alliance’s newest public art installation, is now on display at Fosun Plaza in front of 28 Liberty St., where it’s already delighting local passersby.
Presented in partnership with Quartier des Spectacles International, “Domino Effect” was created by Montreal-based design studio Ingrid Ingrid. The interactive installation consists of 120 giant dominos distributed across 12 tables in Fosun Plaza, with each domino boasting its own unique color and sound. Since its installation last month, downtown residents, workers and visitors have flocked to the plaza to play with “Domino Effect,” filling the area with music and light — a real respite during a gloomy and gray winter!
If you haven’t seen “Domino Effect” yet, be sure to check it out before it departs on March 6. And if you’d like a little snack with your interactive art, we’ll be hosting a giveaway at the plaza on Wednesday, February 7, from noon to 2 p.m. Come for coffee and cookies from Blue Spoon (more special treats TBD), stay for the domino-and-sound-infused fun.
