Sure Enough, a Pop-Up Beach Is Gonna Be Poppin’ at the Seaport

The Big Apple has plenty of ways for one to cruise its adjacent open waters. As for this weekend, in case Tribeca Sailing and the rest of the neighborhood’s sail operators are booked solid, you don’t even need to set foot off the island — because in Lower Manhattan the beach is coming to you!

Indeedy, Seaport Beach Fest is returning with giant sandboxes and plenty of room for kicking back with delicious snacks, drinks and live music. The festivities at Seaport Square (89 South St., between piers 16 and 17) begin on Friday, July 28, at 12 p.m. and last through the evening of Sunday, July 30.

The beach itself will be outfitted with chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, bars and a beachside main stage featuring a slew of local artists. Plus, DJ MOMA will be spinning his afrobeats and underground mixes all weekend long.
