This Year’s Seaport Food Lab Showcases Three of the Internet’s Favorite Chefs

The Seaport’s signature immersive food lab dining experience is coming back on November 2. 

The fifth season of the Seaport Food Lab will showcase a trio of online food stars, plus advocates and lots of culinary delights through November 19 at 19 Fulton Street. The one-of-a-kind dining experiences each feature a chef appearance, menu discussion and multi-course menu with drink options. 

This year’s lineup features slow-food champion Pierce Abernathy, former Bon Appétit senior food editor Christina Chaey as well as DeVonn Francis, chef and founding director of hospitality company Yardy World.

From November 2 to November 5, Abernathy will prepare seasonal, plant-forward recipes and encourage people to play an active role in the food system. Then, from November 9 to November 12, you can learn secrets from the Bon Appétit Test Kitchen. Recipe developer Chaey has an appreciation for sustainably farmed, local and seasonal products and fiddling around with sourdough bread recipes. 

Finally, from November 16 to November 19, spend some time with Francis, whose Yardy World culinary studio creates experiential food events with a specific concentration on reimagining Caribbean cuisine. Francis uses food as a medium to create conversations and increase visibility for queer and migrant communities. He has dedicated his career to expanding mainstream knowledge of the food he grew up eating.
