Gonna Be Ice to See You at the Seaport Rink

It’s time once again to lace up your skates, as the rink at the Seaport reopens for the season and brings back one of the most picturesque places to skate in all of Manhattan.

The 40-by-92-foot rink at Seaport Square (between piers 16 and 17) offers a chance to whip about the frozen surface while under the tingling lights of the New York City skyline. With the Brooklyn Bridge in the background, skaters will also be treated to the celestial sights of Aurora, an overhead light installation at the rink designed by Ithaca Studio.

Admission is free, with skates available to rent for $23 (discounts are available for locals, too), and the rink will stay open long into the winter, until late February.
