Nobu brings their well known, fine dining experience to Lower Manhattan, opening its newest home at 195 Broadway.
This Doric-columned building, historically known as the “Telephone Building”, went from being the site of the world’s first transcontinental phone call in 1915 to starring as Charlie Sheen’s character’s office in the movie Wall Street. It was designated a landmark in 2006 and is still a visually dramatic setting for contemporary and captivating backdrops.
And then of course there’s Nobu‘s food from celebrity chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa that never disappoints. Their menu combines the classics that made him famous as well as new adventurous dishes, keeping up with Downtown’s trendy restaurant scene.
Fun fact: the chef’s friendship with Robert De Niro not only brought him to Tribeca to first launch Nobu but also landed him a role in the 1995 film Casino. Now with restaurant locations all over the world, he opens his latest creation in Lower Manhattan.
So when you’re calling it quits at work but don’t want to call it a night just yet, heed Nobu’s call and enjoy a night at the striking ground floor lounge or head downstairs to the dining room for some dramatic subterranean dining.
