Get The Lowdown On The Future Of Electric Cars With The China Institute
Tesla tends to take up most of the spotlight in the conversation around electric vehicles, but in reality, there’s far more to the story.
Before General Motors’ recent pledge to offer exclusively electric vehicles by 2035, several Chinese companies were already leading the charge into the emissions-free future. With both the U.S. and China now hustling to become market leaders with EVs — and inevitably, competing with one another on the global economic stage — the entire auto industry is headed for a massive shakeup on every level, from supply chains to labor.
To help environmentally-minded New Yorkers sort through exactly what lies ahead in the world of emissions-free cars, the China Institute has put together ”Getting to Zero: How the US-China Race for Electric Vehicles Is Changing the World.” The online event will feature a panel of industry experts — Tu Le, an expert on on China’s electric vehicle industry, auto industry expert and Wharton School professor John Paul MacDuffie and Frank Girardot, an executive with BYD USA — to discuss the future of EVs, and which Chinese automakers to watch.
The virtual panel will take place on April 6 from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Registration is free.
