Gig Alert: Teach Your Social-Media Skills to Small Businesses in Lower Manhattan

Are you skilled in the arts of Instagram, Facebook and Twitter? Do you have an interest in helping small, independent businesses harness the power of TikTok? The Downtown Alliance is looking for social-media managers to coach multiple retailers and hospitality businesses, and come up with winning social strategies specific to their needs. Familiarity with New York City’s food, beverage scene and non-franchise retail is a plus.

Candidates should be collaborative, detail-oriented, enjoy teaching others and able to articulate the technical aspects of content creation and paid advertising in a way that is easy to understand and encouraging to new users.

These “coaches” will empower businesses with the tools they need to grow their platforms independently and cultivate an authentic online persona that engages audiences. Preference will be given to candidates that are able to attend in-person meetings with business owners in Lower Manhattan (south of Chambers Street).

As onsite work will/may be required, consultant must be vaccinated against COVID-19 and show proof of vaccination prior to engagement.
